the door bell was going off like crazy. wow these girls were impatient.
I decided to throw my best and oldest girlfriend a surprise birthday party. She and I had sort of drifted apart ever since I started hanging out with sid and Bray, and I thought this would be an amazing way to show her I still loved her.
 
The theme was an all out girls night in. I had set up the campfire on my terrace, and with the movie room being right next to it, it made the party setting perfect. There were about 23 girls already here, and another 5 were expected. With me and sam, that made it 30. This was going to be one hell of a night.
 
most of us were in, and sam could be heard driving up. Now the plan was, that we'd all pretend we'd forgotten her birthday, and that I'd remembered in the last moment and been lazy enough to call HER to MY house, when I should have had the common courtesy to take her out, at least.
 
the door was open, and the lights were all off
"um.. M? you home? whats... "
"SURPRISEEEEEE everyone jumped out of their hiding spots as the lights came on and glittery party poppers burst all around her. The look on her face was priceless.
"M! you did not. SHUTTUP. you threw me a party?! you beyotch! I love you"
 
the party was all smooth sailing from there. I had brought an array of face masks from lush: Ayesha (wilderflower and kiwi), brazened Honey (honey, almond and rosemary), Cupcake (mint chocolate) and oatfix. which we all put on. Then I got out my 100 collection of nail colors from butter london and got cracking. Followed by a sofisticated campfire smore sesh, a movie which was half watched as we all gossiped and played truth or dare, and a pretty late bedtime.
 
Sam and I sneaked away, and as we sat under the moonlight at a dimly burning fire, we talked. We caught up, I learned all about her crushes and she was so surprised that I'd had none since we last told each other these things.
"I'm just... happy with the way things are right now. you know? I have two great friends who love me as I do them, and that's all I need now"
 
The funny thing was, I was lying to her. as well as to myself....
I had begun to have feelings for bryan.

It was a Tuesday morning, and I really did not feel up for the whole school fiasco. Getting out of bed, I checked my temperature as a padded my way downstairs. Yup, I was burning up, just as I suspected.
 
I texted the boys telling them I would be having a sick day at home, then plumped up my cushions, lit up all my candles, and set myself up to bask in my misery. I was such a whiny baby when I was sick.
 
Not more then half an hour later, I heard my doorbell ring. Annoyed that it would probably be the mailman or some pesky salesguy, I got up.
 
"SURPRISE BABEE! I come bearing gifts for my poor little babygirl" There bryan was, a basket of interesting looking things, some medicine and some movies.
 
"brayan, what are you doing here? what about school?"
 
"Really M, you think I'd pick schoool, over you?"
 
he walked in like he owned the place - which, he and sid practically did what with all the time they spent here - and plonked the goodies down on my makeshift bed.
 
"I've brought us some board games, An entire season of how I met your mother, that movie with Jenifer Aniston - damn that woman is fineeee - and some soup. now drink your medicine right after the soup, and then once again after I get some lunch made, okay? You look adorable in those sweats, by the way"
 
He really knows how to treat you right, Bryan. I snuggled up with him as we laughed over barney's legend - wait for it - dairy pickup lines and then played a pointless game of snakes and ladders. He then ran me a bath with a party popper bath fizz from lush - one of my favorite places to get bath stuff from - and tucked me in to get some rest as he returned home.
 
right before I drifted off to sleep, I asked myself - why the hell am I not going out with that guy?!
